Introduction

Over the last decade our roadsides have become chock full with new technology, enforcement systems and an array of flashing illuminations.

 

It can be difficult to know what is, or indeed is not, a speed trap. In this section we have detailed some of the most common devices that can be seen by the roadside and are often confused with speed traps.

 

If you have driven past something and you aren’t sure what it is, this section may help you establish whether it was or wasn’t a trap.
