The 'Super' Gatso™ Camera

Dubbed the new ‘Super Gatso’ or simply The 'Daddy’ by some, this latest addition to the speed camera line up will feature 4 lenses. Three digital still cameras and a video camera. The new camera overcomes past shortfalls by being able to measure speed of cars in all lanes of a wide carriageway and also taking photos of the front of the vehicles (including the driver).

Demand for forward facing cameras is increasing because the government suspects that many drivers with 9 or more points on their licence are asking friends or relatives to accept points on their behalf. These new cameras will leave no doubt as to the true identity of the person driving the vehicle.
